This easy, delicious and chunky Instant Pot pear applesauce is made with apples, pears, cinnamon, maple syrup and vanilla and can also be made in a crock post or slow cooker.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 honeycrisp apples, skin-on, cored and diced
  • 4 Bartlett pears, skin-on, cored and diced
  • ¾ cup water, apple juice or apple cider
  • ½ cup pure maple syrup or brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • Pinch coarse salt

Instructions

  1. Place apples, pears, water, maple syrup, vanilla extract and salt in the bowl of the Instant Pot and secure the lid on sealing. Set the Instant Pot on high pressure for 12 minutes. Once it beeps, let it sit until the pressure seal opens, about 10 minutes. Carefully remove the lid.
  2. Use an immersion blender to blend about half of the applesauce, so it resembles chunky applesauce. Place in containers, let cool, then refrigerate.
