Cold Brew Coconut Vanilla Macchiato

This post and recipe for Cold Brew Coconut Vanilla Macchiato is in partnership with Java House Cold Brew Coffee®. All views are my own.

My absolute favorite part of my morning routine is sipping on coffee.

Sure, I love the caffeine buzz, but the taste of coffee is pure bliss. And I just spent the last 7 days in Miami and the Keys, and the coffee there is just over-the-top.

In a very, very good way. I was sad to make the trip home because I just knew I wouldn’t have that coffee again for a very long time.

But when I arrived home, I had a box of Java House® Cold Brew Dual-Use Coffee Liquid Pods waiting for me.

How to make cold brew coconut vanilla macchiato

You all know I’m a huge fan of cold brew, so I just had to try them out right away. The pods are concentrated cold brew coffee, which is slowly steeped in cold water using coarsely ground coffee beans.

It takes about 12 hours to steep, giving it a smoother, naturally sweeter (and less bitter!) taste.

Rather than extracting the acids from coffee, which is what happens when you traditionally brew coffee, the cold brew method extracts the rich chocolate and caramel notes.

And now I just can’t get enough. It made me forget about the coffee I just enjoyed for 7 days… at least a little bit.

A delicious at-home recipe for cold brew coffee!

And instead of having to wait 12 hours for a cup of cold brew – if you were to brew it yourself – you can have it in just seconds by pouring the coffee concentrate over ice with 8 ounces of water, or you can use the pod in a single-serve coffee machine to brew a hot cup of coffee.

Either way, the convenience of these pods is a huge perk (and be sure to recycle the pods that have the recycling symbol on the bottom!). And like I said – the taste is superb.

Plus, the pods come in Ethiopian (light roast), Colombian (medium roast), Sumatran (dark roast) – my fave! – or a medium roast decaf, so you can have it just how you like it.

You know I love my coffee over ice (most of the time), so I made this insanely delicious Cold Brew Coconut Vanilla Macchiato. You can, of course, make this a hot coffee drink by brewing it and mixing in the rest of the ingredients, if you wish.

I love to use real coconut milk, but the refrigerated coconut milk or creamer works fine, too. The vanilla flavor comes from vanilla coffee syrup or extract, and you can add a pinch of sweetener if you like it like that (I do!).

So if you need me, I’ll be sipping on a cold brew macchiato, dreaming of the warmth of Miami and the Florida Keys… And if you love coffee as much as I do, you may also enjoy this Coconut Caramel Cold Brew Coffee.
